The Automated Battery Report (all tiers)
- How you use power: your evening and overnight usage, solar export, and daily and monthly charts from your real meter data.
- Your battery size range: what you can actually fill and use, based on 12 months of your data.
- Federal rebate check: STCs under the current Clean Energy Regulator rules (6.8 per kWh for May–Dec 2026, tiered 14/28/50 kWh), plus what you'd get if you wait until the 2027 step-down.
- Your quotes side by side: net price per usable kWh, how much of each battery you'd really use, estimated annual saving and payback.
- Red flags for each quote: oversizing, rebate mismatches, weak warranties, solar too small to fill the battery, and more.
- A verdict and the questions to ask each installer.
The Kit (Mid and Pro)
A calculator spreadsheet to test sizes and prices yourself, the 25-point quote checklist, an installer phone-call script, and warranty and install-handover checklists. Use them for any future quotes too.
The Quote Review by Amir (Pro)
It's not about picking the cheapest quote; it's about understanding value. A licensed electrician and battery designer reads up to 3 battery (or solar + battery) quotes and tells you: - What each quote should realistically cost: a fair-price range for that system and install on your home, built from typical equipment, labour, switchboard and compliance costs, after the rebate. - Roughly how much margin the company is making: an indicative estimate (e.g. "about A$2–3k above a typical cost-plus-fair-margin price"). We expect installers to make a fair profit, because that's what pays for good installs and long-term support. - Whether it's good value for you: weighing price against sizing (usable kWh vs your evening use and spare solar), product and warranty quality (CER approved list, years / MWh / end capacity, local support), installer track record, and scope gaps (switchboard, backup gateway, metering, approvals). Sometimes the dearer quote is the better buy. - Rebate check: STC count, factor and usable capacity verified. - A plain-English verdict with the questions to put back to each installer, plus one round of email follow-up (14 days).
Cost and margin figures are informed estimates based on typical market costs, not the installer's actual books. They're an opinion to help you judge value, not a statement about any business.
We sell no hardware and take no commissions, per-lead fees or paid rankings. If a quote is from an installer who pays us a flat tool or listing fee, we tell you.
SortedVetting add-on: A$395 (Pro and SortedDesign only)
Don't want to chase installers yourself? We contact two of your quoted companies on your behalf, ask the hard questions and verify their claims, then report back in writing. - What we ask and check: who actually installs it (staff or subcontractor) and their accreditation; the exact product model and that it's on the CER approved list; warranty terms (years, MWh throughput, end capacity) and who handles claims if the company closes; after-sales support and response times; install details (location, backup circuits, switchboard work, network approval, commissioning and handover); payment terms and cooling-off. - Background and financial-risk check on both companies: to flag the risk of a company going bust and leaving you without warranty support, we check each company's commercial credit score (CreditorWatch, via a reseller), ASIC company extract (age, directors' changes, status), PPSR registrations, ABN/GST history, insolvency and external-administration notices, QBCC licence (and electrical contractor licence), and SAA / Approved Seller accreditation. You get our own rating per company: Pass / Caution / High risk, with a plain-English reason. We never share the raw credit bureau report (licence terms don't allow it), and we don't run personal credit checks on directors. It's an indication of risk at the time of checking, not a guarantee that a company will or won't stay in business. - What you get: a short written report per company, covering their answers, what we verified (licence, accreditation, ABN, approved product, warranty documents), the Pass / Caution / High risk financial rating and any gaps or red flags, within [X business days, TBC] of authorisation (it depends on how quickly installers reply; we make up to 3 contact attempts each). - Independence: we don't negotiate prices for kickbacks, take commissions or referral fees, or accept payment from the installers we contact. We don't pass your details to anyone else. If either company pays us a flat, disclosed tool or listing fee, we tell you before we start. - Not included: price negotiation on your behalf, signing anything, or contacting more than two companies.
Authorisation (signed in the intake form before we contact anyone)
I, [full name], of [address], authorise BatterySorted (operated by [Amir S / business name, ABN]) to contact [Company 1] and [Company 2] on my behalf about the quote(s) they have given me (ref. [quote numbers]), for the limited purpose of asking questions about and verifying the products, warranty, support, installation and contract terms in those quotes. I consent to BatterySorted sharing my name, the site address and the quote reference with these two companies for this purpose only. BatterySorted may not negotiate prices, accept any offer, or agree to anything on my behalf, and will not receive any payment from these companies. I can withdraw this authorisation at any time by email. This authorisation expires 30 days after signing. Signed: ______ Date: ______

Scope limits
- A data and document review only: no site visit (add a Solar Health Check for that), no inspection, no compliance certification.
- We don't redesign the system (that's SortedDesign) and we don't negotiate with installers for you.
- Findings depend on the information you provide and on public information about products and installers. This isn't an endorsement of, or a complaint about, any business.
- Not financial advice. Final design responsibility stays with your licensed, accredited installer.
