An in-depth, data-driven battery (and optionally solar) design built around how your household actually uses power. Use it before you get quotes, so you can brief installers precisely and compare quotes like for like.

What you get

• Interval data analysis: 12 months of your smart-meter data, showing daily and seasonal load profiles and evening/overnight demand.
• Sizing model: battery size (and solar size or expansion if relevant) modelled against your data, showing the trade-off between savings and capacity. Includes the federal rebate tiers and step-down timing.
• Tariff check: your current tariff versus suitable alternatives (time-of-use or flat) with a battery.
• Product shortlist: 3–4 suitable battery and inverter options, chosen against reliability, warranty and local-support criteria. We take no commissions, per-lead fees or paid rankings.
• Written design report (PDF):

• A 45–60 minute video or phone call to walk through the report.
• One quote check on up to 3 quotes you receive within 60 days.

What we need from you (intake)

• 12 months of smart-meter interval data (CSV from your retailer or distributor). We can help you get it.
• Your last 4 bills, plus your current tariff and retailer
• Address or postcode, roof orientation and photos, existing solar and inverter details (model, kW, panel count)
• A switchboard photo and meter box photo (or add a Solar Health Check and we collect these on site)
• Your goals: savings, backup, EV or pool loads, budget, plans to move house
• Any existing quotes

Turnaround

About 7–10 business days after we receive a complete intake (after the visit, if you add a Health Check), with the call booked after the report is delivered [target, to be confirmed by Amir].

Scope limits

• Remote design and consult: no site visit unless you add a Solar Health Check. No installation, network application, or certificate of compliance.
• The design is a specification to brief installers. Your installer still does the final site-specific design and is responsible for compliance with AS/NZS 3000 / AS/NZS 5139 and network rules.
• We don't sell equipment, refer installers for a fee, or guarantee savings. Modelling is an estimate based on your data and current tariffs.
• Commercial sites, off-grid systems and three-phase systems above standard residential sizes are quoted separately or out of scope [Amir to confirm].

Add-on: SortedVetting (A$395)

Want us to put the hard questions to your installers once you have quotes? With SortedDesign you can add SortedVetting: we contact two of your quoted companies on your behalf, verify warranty, support, product and install claims, run a background and financial-risk check (our own Pass / Caution / High risk rating; no personal checks on directors), and report back.
